Who am I
Hi,
I’m Despoina a trauma-informed accessible yoga teacher, holistic wellness practitioner, single mom, and primary school teacher who truly understands the weight you're carrying. Because I've walked this path myself — from chaos to calm, from pain to peace.

My journey
For almost 10 years, I lived through perimenopause and then menopause… feeling like a stranger in my own body.
I was a dancer. A yoga teacher. Strong, flexible, energetic.
But suddenly I was waking up stiff as a board.
Everything ached. My body felt heavy.
I felt tired, emotional, overwhelmed… and honestly, angry.

Gym classes made things worse.

Apps didn’t understand my body.

Trainers half my age pushed me beyond my limits.
Pushing through pain only brought more pain.
My lower back once spasmed so badly from burnout that I couldn’t sit on a chair without tears.
That moment forced me to rethink everything.
I dove into accessible yoga, trauma-informed practices, pain management, gentle somatic movement, mind-body tools, and the emotional side of midlife.
And everything changed.
Now…
